SUERU Japanese Moxa

In Japanese, sueru means to set moxa in place. Its character, 据, also carries the meaning of a place of support or comfort. SUERU was created with this thought in mind, inviting you to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment in your busy day. SUERU -02- Classic Strong Heat (Yellow) The -02- series uses a traditional paper tube design. The warmth spreads across a wider area and lasts longer. Made with mugwort (yomogi), it gives a deep, steady warmth. With the strongest heat in our range, it is best for those who are already familiar with moxa. Details Contents: 60 pieces of paper tube moxa Dimensions: 12 × 12 × 2 cm Ingredients: Mugwort (yomogi) Heat Level: HEAT+++++ SUERU -04- Low Smoke Strong Heat (Purple) The -04- series uses a special carbonisation technique to reduce smoke and smell, while keeping the traditional warmth of moxa. With a strong HEAT++++ warmth and very little smoke, it is easy to use at home, even in an apartment. A thoughtful gift, too. Details Contents: 50 pieces of carbonised moxa Dimensions: 10.5 × 13.5 × 1.7 cm Ingredients: Mugwort (yomogi) Heat Level: HEAT++++ How to Use Wipe away any sweat or oil from the skin where you plan to place the moxa, and make sure the skin is completely dry. Damp skin can cause the sticker to lift and makes blisters more likely. Light the mugwort end with a lighter or match. It will begin to burn slowly. Once lit, place the sticker side gently onto your skin. Each piece burns for about 5 to 10 minutes. If the heat becomes uncomfortable at any time, remove it straight away. When it has burnt out completely, remove it gently. Ash may fall, so take care, and dispose of it only once it has fully cooled. Safety Information Moxa involves burning material close to the skin and may cause burns or blisters. Never leave it unattended or use it while sleeping.
