A Night Of Photography – NZIPP Auckland/ Northland

Join us for A Night of Photography – Stories, Awards and Celebrations, bringing together photographers from across Auckland and Northland for an evening of inspiration, great imagery and good company. When: Thursday 8 October | 6.00pm Where: CRK Event Centre, 244 Bush Road, Rosedale, North Shore We’ll be joined by Graham Murphy, who will share his fascinating photographic journey, one that began during his 14½ years with the New Zealand Police, specialising as a Forensic Crime Scene Examiner and Forensic Photographer. Since establishing Northern Exposure Photography in the Bay of Islands in 2016, Graham’s career has taken him into commercial, architectural and real estate photography, along with the rather different world of pet photography through A Dogs Breakfast – Pet Photography. Graham will share some of the stories, experiences and images from that journey, as well as his ongoing exploration of new techniques and creative photography. In 2026, he achieved NZIPP Master with Distinction with One Bar, recognising his continued development and success through the NZIPP IRIS Awards. We’ll also be celebrating our region with the presentation of the Auckland/Northland Photographer of the Year, and we’d love our 2026 Iris Professional Photography Awards entrants to bring along their award-winning images to display on the night. Drinks and supper will be provided, thanks to CRK and Ilford. This evening is open to everyone with a love of photography, you don’t need to be an NZIPP member to attend. We’d love to welcome the wider photographic community.
