The Ardnamurchan dram, made and matured on-site, reflects the distillery’s location, renowned for its wild landscapes and untamed character. Ardnamurchan embrace heritage, innovation and sustainable practices, from traditional double distillation to blockchain technology. All the power and heat requirements for the distillery come from local renewables and the by-products are recycled on the peninsula. Ardnamurchan's bottle is one of the lightest in the industry; it is produced using over 50% recycled clear glass. This is Ardnamurchan's second batch release containing peated 10 year old spirit - comprising very nearly 50% peated and unpeated whiskies, matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks, and a wee bit of ex-sherry cask. Nose: Coconut, oat biscuits, and zesty orange peel, layered with salty sea air, leaves on a bonfire, and a hint of strawberry laces and mint. Palate: Rich and creamy, with custard creams, vanilla wafer, brine, and earthy smoke. Finish: Lingering, smoky, maritime warmth.
