Why Polished OHexagoniteO is Safe The health dangers associated with asbestos-group minerals only occur if the rock is "friable"—meaning it can easily crumble, fray, and release microscopic, airborne fibers into the lungs. • Locked-in Crystals: In a polished piece or faceted gemstone, the mineral structure is completely stabilized and solid. No fibers can break free into the air to be inhaled. • Handling: You can safely hold, display, or wear polished OHexagoniteO without any respiratory health risks. Note: The only time caution is required is during the cutting, grinding, or polishing stages of the raw rock, as the resulting dust should not be inhaled. Once finished and polished, it is completely harmless. {Gem Rock Auctions} This sphere is a hand crafted original art work by Endlesscircle of AZ.
