Electrode Extension Rod
Electrode Extension for Non-Standard Electrochemical Apparatus Enable flexible electrode placement in custom experimental setups Specifications | Gallery | Related Products | Technical Support Standard cell designs often limit your experimental freedom. This 60 mm electrode extension rod allows you to position your working, reference, and counter electrode precisely inside non-standard or custom-built electrochemical apparatus without straining your connections. Each lead is engineered with a 20 mm exposed male rod at the top for seamless connection to your potentiostat cable or cell head, paired with a 20 mm female receiving hole at the base to accommodate the electrode connecting pin. To ensure universal compatibility, the chemical-resistant PTFE sheath can easily be trimmed with a clean blade if your electrode connecting lead is shorter than 20 mm. Trimming guarantees a flush, stable fit and a solid, noise-free electrical connection. Contact us if you require the sheath to be pre-trimmed by us before shipping. To maintain optimal performance and signal integrity, ensure the internal electrical connections remain completely dry and free from electrolyte splash. Preventing liquid contact inside the female receptor avoids localized corrosion, which can otherwise introduce unwanted resistance and electrical noise into your measurements. When setting up your cell, simply apply straight, uniform pressure to slide the lead onto your electrode pin to protect the internal contacts from bending.
