These beads are priced and sold in sets of 2 beads Classic Sun/Moon design in vintage dark brass 30x18mm Lost wax cast, beads made in Ghana or Cote d'Ivoire To make a lost wax cast bead, every single bead must first be made in wax. The wax bead is then covered in fine clay, dried, and then heated so the wax runs out. Next the newly created mold is filled with molten brass. Once cooled the mold is broken to release the bead, the mold cannot be re-used. Each bead is unique. Next steps involve cleaning, grinding off any traces of sprues, and polishing.
