A classic back on MC! in 1977, Lemmy & Co. decided to disband due to lack of success and give one last concert. Ted Carroll from Chiswick Records was present during this concert and subsequently offered the musicians a record deal for a single. The recordings resulted in a complete album, which was released in September 1977 under the title 'Motörhead'. It was produced by ex-Thunderclap Newman "Speedy" Keen and recorded by Kilmister, Taylor and Clarke. Number 43 in the British album charts was the band's first commercial success.
