BMW Clutch Slave Cylinder (CLU-4542) by Oberon Performance Replaces the BMW OEM part number: 21527724542 Designed to upgrade the performance of the selected range of BMW models, and greatly improve the cosmetic appearance. The engineered design will outperform the original equipment, transforming riding experience by delivering a smoother, lighter and more reliable clutch action. Key Improvements: Reduced Lever Effort: An increase of piston diameter from the 24mm OEM size to an enlarged 26mm diameter. Will reduce (on average) a required pull force from 15.3lb (68.06N) to a reduced 13.3lb (59.15N) - This equates in percentile terms to a 13% reduction, which significantly minimises rider fatigue or ‘arm pump’ syndrome. Enhanced Reliability: The slave’s piston seal boasts a ‘U’-shaped profile, made from a specific high-grade rubber. It is then frozen so it can be CNC-machined for ultra-precision. The resulting design of seal performs at supremely higher levels of hydraulic pressure which also vastly increases its natural lifespan. And severely nullifying almost any chance of leakage or natural failure during its lifetime. Precision Engineering: A unique internal back plate is designed to guide the piston and maintain a more perfect alignment. To further prevent internal wear and the eliminating of ‘clutch judder’ commonly experienced with stock OEM slave units. Premium Construction: CNC machined from 6000-series billet aluminium and colour anodised to superior standards, polished off with an attractive laser etch detail. Thus providing a lightweight, yet high-strength solution which is available in seven rich anodised colours, to match almost any variety of bike colour scheme. Installation & Service: The CLU-4542 clutch slave kit is complete with all necessary components, along with full instructions for a straightforward installation. Please note that this is designed to be a non-serviceable part.
