The Manitowoc IRT0900W is the water-cooled version of the Indigo NXT high-volume regular cube head, built for hotels and restaurants whose equipment rooms run too hot for an air-cooled condenser to keep up. Rejecting heat to a water loop keeps production at 665 lb of regular cubes even at the 90°F air and 70°F water rating, against 750 lb at 70°F and 50°F, and drops energy use to 4.04 kWh per 100 lb of ice, the lowest in the iT0900 family. The trade is condenser water at 135 gal per 100 lb of ice beyond the 19 gal of potable water in the ice itself, so it suits sites where water costs less than ventilation. It stores nothing on board and needs a D-570 or D-970 bin beneath it; a cool, open equipment area makes the IRT0900A the simpler choice. Plan the install around a 208-230V single phase circuit, separate 3/8 in. inlets for ice making and condenser water, a 1/2 in. condenser outlet rated to 276 psi, and a 1/2 in. drain.Regular Cubes Sized for Slow Melt in the GlassThis head produces Manitowoc's regular cube, a 1 1/8 in. x 1 1/8 in. x 7/8 in. block that melts slower than smaller dice in a glass, a display bed, or a banquet cooler, and packs cleanly for bagging. Production is rated at 750 lb per 24 hours at 70°F air and 50°F water and 665 lb at 90°F air and 70°F water, so you can size the machine from the hot-kitchen number instead of the best-case number.
