VINTAGE 1969 OMEGA CONSTELLATION DAY-DATE CALENDAR WATCH 18ct WHITE GOLD BEZEL, ORIGINAL GREY DIAL
VINTAGE 1969 OMEGA CONSTELLATION DAY-DATE CALENDAR WATCH 18ct WHITE GOLD BEZEL, ORIGINAL GREY DIAL. This fabulous gentlemen’s Omega was at the top of the companies stainless-steel range in 1969 and is unusual, having the seldom seen rare brushed grey dial. The model 168.045 constellation calendar uses the omega calibre 751 automatic chronometer movement and the example that we have here is in excellent original condition, the movement is as clean as when it left the factory in 1968. The steel case measures 36.5mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 41mm tip-to-tip. The stainless-steel shape case is in close to pristine condition, with no dings or scratches and the 18kt white gold serrated bezel is absolutely perfect. Retaining the original brushed satin finish with polished edges, this is one of the nicest steel constellations that we have had in a very long time. The back unscrews and screws down perfectly as it should, the constellation medallion still in perfect order with no wear. The original horizontally brushed grey dial with black printing is absolutely beautiful, with contrasting polished silver & black baton divisions and date window. The dial is absolutely flawless in every respect and any marks that you see in the photo’s are on the glass or reflections only. The polished silver stick hands still retain their original black filling. The original crown is still present and in perfect condition with no wear. Presented on the original stainless-steel bracelet which is in excellent condition with minimal wear. It fits perfectly to the watch head still with no unsightly gaps and is very, very comfortable on the wrist. Will fit up to a seven and three quarter inch wrist. A really beautiful example example of the early 70’s constellation.
