Ed Heuer & Cie. 125th Anniversary Triple Date 18K Yellow Gold
We talked about Tag Heuers take-over of Heuer around 1985, this Ed Heuer & Cie. (named after the founder of Heuer) was released in 1985 for the 125th anniversary of Heuer. Meaning this is not Tag Heuer by the way, watch out, it will get many nerdy collectors triggered.๐ก Oh and how they celebrated the anniversary, a beautiful real porcelain dial with triple date function. No wannabes here, this is real porcelain and you can see it when you have it in hand. There is just a certain sheen to it, absolutely lovely.๐ฝ๏ธ This exact example was made in 18K Yellow Gold, opposed to the gold plated versions they also released. To me the proportions of the dial are just right. A nice pop of red and blue here and there and just classic Breguet numerals and a pointer date. The case shape also breathes vintage. It comes with the original leather strap and pusher for setting the watch. The watch was fully checked by me as a watchmaker and is in great condition. It runs very well. Looking for a unique 18K dress watch with history? This may very well be it! ๐ Specifications: Ed Heuer and Cie. 125th Anniversary 32mm 18K Yellow Gold Case Dating to 1985, Heuers 125th Anniversary Lume: No Lume Real White Porcelain Dial Box / Papers: No / No On the original leather strap, signed Ed Heuer 7 Cie.
