Victorian Tunbridge-ware Banjo
Unique Victorian six string Tunbridge-ware fretless neck later converted to 5 string and married to a 1930s spunover pot, probably a Windsor based on design and hardware. Note the neck angle adjustment on the tail end of the dowel stick. Neck is in great condition considering its age, most likely between 1860s and 70s. It’s flat, no twist and in very good condition. This banjo is in playable condition and had a great sound provided by the nylon strings. Pot is 11” and fitted with a frosted Remo Weatherking head. Nut and bridge have been swapped for 5 string equivalents.
