The Brass Hexacorallia Sconce takes its form from the microscopic architecture of marine coral, radial, structural, alive with pattern. Sand-cast in solid brass, each piece carries its own surface, the ripples and pitting unique to every cast. Alternative driver configurations are also available upon request at an additional cost, including DALI, phase-dimming and touch-dimming options. Please consult your electrician to confirm the appropriate driver for your installation. E27 Lamp Holder Backplate Alternatively, the sconce can be supplied with an E27 lamp holder backplate, suitable for use with a compatible E27 globe. All electrical installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician. Process The Hexacorallia form takes on a different character in brass. The porcelain casts rely on translucency; this one is about surface. Sand cast by hand, each piece picks up the mould's own trace of ripples and pitting, so no two castings come out quite the same. Left raw, the brass will darken and deepen in tone with handling and light. Polished, it returns to its original shine. Sand cast in a small foundry in Goulburn, NSW.
