The Deluxeware DX100J is a heavyweight shorts model built around one of the brand's most iconic fabrics: an original 12.5oz "Hard Knit" (dotsume) jersey in 100% cotton. Introduced as a limited SS26 seasonal release, these shorts are designed for hard, everyday wear across the peak of summer — offering the substance and durability Deluxeware is celebrated for. The fabric is produced in Wakayama, Japan on vintage tsuriami loopwheel machines — some of the rarest knitting equipment still in operation today. These machines produce just 10 meters of fabric per day (approximately 8 shorts' worth), a deliberately slow, low-tension knitting process that yields the kind of density, hand feel, and character that modern equipment simply cannot replicate. Every finished piece is then sewn at Deluxeware's own factory in Odate, Akita Prefecture. The silhouette is relaxed and easy to wear, with a classic front placket — closed here with exposed cat's-eye urea buttons — belt loops, curved front slash pockets, and two rear patch pockets.
