The body is a fine black-and-white check — a micro-grid block printed by hand, which is far harder than it looks, because every line has to meet the next across the block repeat. The pallu breaks into a rust-red Ajrakh panel with the traditional medallion motifs, and a thin gold zari runs along the border to lift the whole thing. It reads as a neutral from a distance and as a hand-printed Ajrakh up close, which makes it the easiest of these to wear to work and then out.
