A beautiful, small size Sami drum brings mystical atmosphere and is a wonderful souvenir from Lapland. On the drumhead, there is a hand-painted picture of the God of Thunder, Tiermes. He was the god of weather and well-being for the Sami people. He was believed to have power to give rain, break a person from the spell of an evil eye, protect reindeer and purify the air from diseases. The God of Thunder was both good and evil, so he was given offerings. Easy to carry, the drum is suitable for playing, healing and creating some magic into your life. It is also very useful for meditation. A unique Sami drum that was handcrafted with love and care in our workshop in Finnish Lapland. Being environmentally friendly and ethical, we source our materials locally from known and responsible suppliers. The frame is made of double-layered birch plywood which has been waxed with wood wax. The drumhead is made of Finnish reindeer skin that is left undyed with hand-drawn shamanic symbols on the top. There is a wooden handle attached behind the drum. A felted drumstick and instructions for caring for the drum are included in the package. A round drum, the size is 31×31 cm with a frame of 10 cm. The weight is 0,450 kg.
