Axe #488
Sears produced a line of axes under the Dunlap trademark from the 1930's through the 1950's. These axes were made by Kelly, Plumb and True Temper for Sears so they have a nice pedigree. This 4# Yankee pattern head is hung on an "A" grade Amish-turned hickory handle and secured by a black walnut wedge. The 4# weight is stamped on the side of the poll. Comes with a Maine-made custom leather sheath.
