Diamond Bilum Clutch by Tato

Our Limited-Edition Craft Series brings together the weavers’ most loved patterns and palettes, thoughtfully handcrafted in small editions. Each design is a unique work of art, created in a limited series of 10 pieces by a collective of 15 weavers – this collaboration has helped us connect to an additional 100 women living near Goroka in Papua New Guinea. Working in this way provides meaningful and sustainable income to support the women and their communities. The story behind the Diamond design is rich in culture and is held dear to the women of Papua New Guinea, not only is it a symbol of abundance and prosperity, traditionally in Goroka it is given to a newly wed as a sign of wealth and prosperity for their new married life. This Bilum is handwoven from wool and acrylic yarn using traditional weaving techniques. This clutch is lined and features a frame closure and internal pocket. Additional model photo for size
