Rosa Luxemburg

Most people are familiar with the name Rosa Luxemburg. They may also remember that she was murdered – drowned in the Landwehr Canal. Some recall her famous statement that freedom is always the freedom of those who think differently. Few, however, know that her ideas have often been overlooked in the history of the labor movement and, above all, that her political proposals and numerous writings contain insights that remain relevant to contemporary politics. This book aims to bring some of these ideas into the spotlight. By confronting what is past, it highlights her relevance for the present.
