Hello everyone! 👋 WELCOME to the Shuffle and Cut JZ Pauper Monthly! 🏆 Hosted by yours truly, Joe Zheng. 🌟 About the Series & Community This series originally started across the ditch in New Zealand, where Pauper quickly became the most popular 60-card format. As the organizer of NZ's yearly Eternal Weekend, I added Pauper to our roster of events. It immediately became a crowd favorite, consistently drawing the largest turnout of the entire weekend! After expanding over to Melbourne, I quickly realized that Pauper is just as popular here—so I am officially bringing the magic over to you! 🎁 The Community Goodie Box We are not just about running events; we are about growing and supporting our local community. To help you craft your decks, I have set up a special Goodie Box filled with free staples—perfect if you do not mind mixing card languages! From Fiery Temper to Malevolent Rumble, and from Tron Lands to Tolarian Terror, we have got you covered. The Perk: Every player can select 4 free cards from the box at each event! Special Requests: I build this box based on the top 100 played cards on MTGTop8. If you need a card outside of that list, write it down next to our shopping list! I will do my absolute best to source it when I replenish the box after each event. The Golden Rule: As Dominic Toretto would say, " You can have any b̶e̶e̶r̶ pauper card you want, as long as it's c̶o̶r̶o̶n̶a̶ in Chinese." 📅 Event Details 📍 Where: Shuffle & Cut Melbourne — 243A Swan St, Richmond VIC 3121, Australia ⏰When: Sunday, September 6th, doors open 11:30am, 12pm start ⚔️ Structure: Swiss rounds, followed by a cut to Top 4 or Top 8 (depending on total attendance). 🎟️ Entry Fee: $20 AUD 🎁 Prize Pool: 100% of entry fees go directly into the prize pool as store credit for the top cut.
