US Marine Corps 1944 Chelsea Clock

Very similar to the Navy issued clocks, but this is a significantly rarer USMC version. Unlikely the navy version this has a sub-seconds hand rather than sweep seconds, along with a lovely polished metallic dials. The bakelite case rather cooly has been painted with USMC aviation blue - the same paint as used on USMC Corsair aircraft, so maybe this had an aviation connection, used in a patrol aircraft or at a USMC airfield. Condition Beautiful used condition. Keeping good time, movement cleaned and oiled. I've had it running over 24 hours and its running perfect. Comes with key. Some light marking to the acrylic glass.
