Shetland Jewellery was founded in 1953 by Jack Rae on the picturesque Shetland Isles, in Weisdale on the mainland of Shetland, when it was known as Shetland Silvercraft. Today, Shetland Jewellery is run by Jack's son, Kenneth Rae, and is situated by the tranquil Hellister Loch, where otters, eiders, terns and red throated divers are regularly seen, and lend endless inspiration for designs. Shetland Jewellery's pieces also take their inspiration from Norse Mythology and local archaeology, with some ranges designed with a more modern Celtic twist, making their work as timeless as the beauty of the Isles they're made on.
