About this rifle The Southern Mountain Rifle is the slim, iron-mounted rifle of the southern Appalachians, styled after the 1820s work of Whitson in western North Carolina. It is set up with our double-set triggers, the stock is CNC machined to close tolerances, and the holes are drilled. The design is ours and the machining is ours. The hand work, and the satisfaction, are yours.
