SPRINGFIELD M1842 CUT DOWN MUSKET WITH 1849 DATE
Original Civil War Springfield M1842 Musket that has been cut down to a total of 47" with a 31 1/4: barrel. Has a really nice overall attic untouched patina. The mechanics are fully functional with tight action. The Lockplate has the U.S. and Eagle in front of the hammer and Springfield / 1849 on the rear. Barrel has the inspection VP Eagle stamp and is marked with an 1846 Date. Great affordable Civil War Musket that will make a great addition to any collection. Please see all photos.
