Gibson SG Junior Cherry 1968 Status Quo Owned NB Commission Sale : Shop Purchase / Collection only! This Gibson SG is currently owned by John "Rhino" Edwards from Status Quo. This is a wonderful late 60s SG Junior with a superb single P90 pickup, volume and tone plus Vibrola tremolo. The body and neck have a lot of battle scars as pictured, having been toured a lot but then more recently studio bound. The guitar is very vibey and comes with with provenance. A presumed later (early 70s?) hard case is provided as pictured. The machine heads are Wilkinson replacements. Some of the hardware screws look more recent than others and the Vibrola plate looks extremely clean compared to other hardware on the guitar top. The bridge, vibrola arm and knobs all look to be aged in the same way and are presumed original. The pots date to 1968 and there is checking of the finish here and there.
