Domaine Ott, Chateau Romassan Rose, Cotes de Provence
While some rosés are all about freshness, Château Romassan has rather more to say. Produced by Domaine Ott in Bandol, this 2025 vintage is led by Mourvèdre, the grape responsible for the wine’s distinctive structure and depth. Pink grapefruit, passion fruit and vine peach bring brightness to the nose, joined by white flowers and a gentle touch of spice. The palate is broad and textured, with fleshy stone fruit, mandarin zest and a chalky minerality that gives the wine real presence, while a gentle tannic structure adds depth without overwhelming the fruit. The finish is long and persistent, with lingering notes of pomelo peel and Sichuan pepper, leaving an impression of a rosé that is every bit as compelling at the table as it is in the glass.
