Available on pre-arrival basis only. This is an extraordinary value and utterly unique Piedmont red. It's big bold and delicious. The balanced tannins, fruit, alcohol and acid make it very approachable in its youth, but can age wonderfully for at least 5 years. The winemaking here is quite highly unusual. Stefano Cagliero doesn’t know of anyone else in Piedmont making a wine in this style which is a blend of Dolcetto and Nebbiolo, refermented with the pressed skins from his Barolo production. It’s the Ripasso style more usually associated with Valpolicella and Amarone skins. The result is stunning complexity for one of the most affordable wines in our range.
