They will be discussing their West Yorkshire roots and writing journeys during an evening that will inspire and entertain book lovers. Marcia Hutchinson’s The Mercy Step was published to critical acclaim in 2025 and is inspired by her childhood growing up in Manningham, Bradford. In addition to being shortlisted for the 2026 Women’s Prize for Fiction, Marcia also received the 2026 Nibbies (British Book Awards) Discover Award.
