Fresh Wild Scallops in the Half Shell

Six fresh scallops presented in their natural shell, ready to go straight on the grill or under the oven grill. The half shell makes them easy to cook and simple to serve, holding the heat and keeping the scallop in place while it cooks. Get the grill or barbecue very hot, add a knob of garlic butter to each shell, then place them directly on the heat. Cook for two to three minutes until the scallop is just set and the butter is bubbling. Finish with a little parsley and a squeeze of lemon. They need very little else. Also well suited to cooking under a hot oven grill if the barbecue is not an option. Our scallops are sourced through Brixham Fish Market, landed fresh from the South West coast. Hand-cut to order, with nothing sitting in stock, and sent out fresh on your chosen delivery day. Always fresh and never previously frozen, so you can freeze them at home if needed. Serve simply with garlic butter and a squeeze of lemon, straight from the shell.
