Omega Geneve Dynamic UFO Blue "Race Track" dial Ref. 166.039 (Cal. 563)
Throwback to 1968, when Omega unveiled a radical and eccentric design that pushed the boundaries of traditional watch design, most notably with a case shape that resembles a flying saucer from nearly every angle. The infamous racetrack dial, paired with the iconic blue ticking second hand demands a conversation of its own. This particular model dates back to 1969, an early variation of the Genève Dynamic line. I like to think this is how Omega in the '70s imagined wrist fashion in the year 2070 while sketching the Dynamic’s design. It’s a striking blend of vintage charm and futuristic flair, arguably one of the boldest designs ever produced by the brand.
