GSP is a soft coral that is considered one of the easiest to take care of in the hobby. It has a peaceful temperament and can be placed anywhere in your tank. It can eventually start to overgrow other corals on the same rock so it should be placed on an island separate from other rockwork in the tank. It will do well in any light setting (low to high) and a low to moderate water flow. GSP can be placed strategically in your tank in order to create a certain “grass” effect either placing it on the back, side walls or bottom of the tank. It can also be used as a hiding or breeding place by certain “bugs” such as amphipods or copepods. Many fish such as warpaint gobies, blennies, and clownfish will appreciate hiding in or using GSP as house without bothering the coral.
