The Perdomo Legacy Connecticut is the first cigar Nicholas Perdomo III ever blended on his own — a tribute to his father, Nick Perdomo Jr., built to mark 60 years of family cigar making. It debuted at the 2025 PCA trade show as the mildest of the three Legacy blends, and it's the easiest way into a line the family spent close to a decade developing. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade leaf, bale-aged 10 years and then finished another 10 months in bourbon barrels. Under it sits the piece that defines the whole Legacy line: a proprietary Cuban-and-Cameroon-seed hybrid binder, grown under shade at Perdomo's Finca Natalie farm in Estelí. The fillers are Nicaraguan, pulled from Estelí, Condega, and the Jalapa Valley. Every leaf is aged a decade before it's rolled. It opens mild and creamy, with cedar and a clean natural sweetness. The bourbon barrel sits underneath the whole way, adding a quiet oak note without taking over. A light spice runs through the finish. Smooth from light to nub. This is a morning cigar, or the one you hand a newer smoker who still wants real aged-tobacco depth.
