Strong sunlight contrasts with areas of deep shadow, while the forms of tree-lined streets are suggested through shape, light, and atmosphere.Developed from a series of drawing studies made on location, the work aims to evoke a sense of place rather than record a literal view. Through a balance of observation and semi-abstraction, I sought to capture the energy, rhythm, and character of the urban landscape.
