Sword of Power Rule + The Sword of Power Card is a special rule card unique to the Masters of the Universe Movie Edition that channels the legendary power of Eternia into every game! How It Works: 1. When a player plays the Sword of Power Card, they may discard up to two cards from their hand on that turn. 2. This ability stays active for every player's turn until another Wild Card is played, at which point the rule resets. 3. Discarded cards are placed onto the discard pile and do not need to match the current colour or number in play. 4. Using the Sword of Power strategically can help players reduce their hand far faster than standard gameplay allows. 5. Once a new Wild Card appears, normal UNO rules resume until the Sword of Power Card returns to play. The Sword of Power Card can be played on any colour or number, similar to a Wild Card, and the player who plays it chooses which colour comes into play next. UNO Game History + UNO was invented in 1971 by Merle Robbins, a barber from Reading, Ohio. Robbins created the game to resolve a dispute about the rules of Crazy Eights and initially sold copies of UNO from his barbershop. The game caught the attention of Robert Tezak over Thanksgiving weekend in 1971, who became hooked on it. The following year, Tezak made a deal with Robbins to take over UNO, and International Games was formed to produce and market the card game. Following decades of massive success, International Games was acquired by Mattel in 1992, and UNO has remained a global phenomenon ever since. How To Play UNO + Setup: Each player is dealt 7 cards, and the remaining cards form a draw pile. The top card is turned over to start the discard pile. Gameplay: Players take turns placing a card from their hand onto the discard pile. The card must match either the colour or the number/symbol of the card on top of the discard pile. If a player cannot play a card, they must draw a card from the draw pile. Special Cards: • Skip Card: When played, the next person in line loses their turn. • Reverse Card: Reverses the direction of play. • Draw Two Card: Forces the next player to draw two cards and lose their turn. • Wild Card: Allows the player to choose any colour for the next player to match. • Wild Draw Four Card: Allows the player to choose any colour and forces the next player to draw four cards and lose their turn. • Sword of Power Card (Masters of the Universe Edition): When played, the player may discard up to two cards from their hand, and the ability stays active until another Wild Card is played. Winning: When a player has only one card left, they must yell "UNO!" If they don't and are caught, they must draw two cards. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round.
