Perfect Shade of Lipstick 10″x10″ | Oil on Canvas This piece is dedicated to my three year old daughter, Hanalei, who has acquired a passion for applying different shades of lipstick. She applies them with ease, all over her face, and we head out to the grocery store in perfect confidence. Something I hope to emulate someday just like her. A vibrant expression of confidence and femininity, Perfect Shade of Lipstick captures the spontaneous beauty of bold color in motion. Lush magentas and pinks bloom across the canvas, layered with energetic strokes of teal, lavender, citrus yellow, and soft white—each mark applied with intention yet freedom. The palette knife work creates a rich, tactile surface, giving the piece both depth and movement, as if the colors themselves are alive and unfolding.
