Please join us at for a lively, midsummer production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, performed in our very own "outdoor theater" (aka back yard) by Grassroots Shakespeare Company! *** About GRASSROOTS SHAKESPEARE Grassroots Shakespeare is a collaborative touring ensemble of multidisciplinary artists who create joyous, vibrant productions inspired by Shakespeare's original staging techniques. Through open-air performances, interactive workshops, and scholarly events, we produce and promote genuinely engaging, popular, and relevant theatre. You would be forgiven if you thought that Shakespeare is for the high-minded and sophisticated among us. That may be because you’ve never seen a Grassroots Shakespeare production! Yes, my fair friend, Shakespeare IS for you! We present Shakespeare to you the same way as was when it was written– For the amusement of the unwashed masses. We transport you back to a time when you could tell a character straight to their face what you thought of them. Others might even join you– after all, you’re all just as much in the play as the actors on stage. There’s no fourth wall here! A play in Elizabethan times more closely resembled a rock concert today than a conventional play as you might know it. Come and see the difference 400 years makes!
