STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY - SLIDING

This sliding steering column assembly is designed for a chassis with an axle mounted steering box and power steering unit. Eg Hyper, TJ and other chassis. This kit may suit other brands of cars or we could make them custom lengths. If you are looking for something custom please do not hesitate to reach out. FEATURES Shaft is manufactured with one end a 3/4"-20 male splined insert and other end with a female 3/4"-20 splined insert. Includes a perfectly matched 3/4"-20 splined shaft. Both splines perfectly matched to the Sync universal joints. Rubber boot custom sized to perfectly suit mounting to the universal joint and steering column preventing dirt and muck from entering the steering column assembly. Tube is USA sourced 4130 Chromoly TIG welded. Satin black powercoat Standard kit includes 1x welded steering shaft 1x sliding splined shaft 1x custom rubber boot 2x cable ties 2x set screws for universal joint to aid in the sealing of the rubber boot. UNIVERSAL JOINT OPTIONS 3/4"-20 X 11/16"-36 -> Power steering unit to steering column 3/4"-20 X 5/8"-36 -> Steering box to steering column LENGTH OPTIONS Standard length - Used on hypers & similar with power steering or manual steering Short length - Can be used on D1, PMP, Ten-J, Pace and etc. See dimensions on images. Dimensions are shown at minimum length. The internal shaft can extend up to 7" from this. Dimensions taken from grub or set screw holes in either steering column/uni joint.
