Attention to Every Detail Optimized Viewing, Boosted Productivity ORIGIN & DESIGN INSPIRATION SIMO was developed by Pangissimo, a Boston-based startup founded by four engineering students from Boston University — Parsa, Constantine, James, and Esiri. Starting as a class project, their goal was to design an affordable portable speaker system capable of delivering immersive surround sound. The name SIMO stands for Single Input, Multiple Output. “Pangissimo” blends “Pangea” (the supercontinent) with “fortissimo” (meaning powerful sound), symbolizing limitless sound connection. During development, they experimented with various shapes — the SIMO Bar was their first concept for surround sound, but the final SIMO became their true breakthrough, featuring identical modular units that can easily combine and travel anywhere.
