Snöstorm snow foam lance replacement gauze / wire mesh filter
Is your Snöstorm Snow Foam Lance underperforming, when it used to work just fine? Do you live in a hard water area or have you been using sealant snow foams? It could be that the metal mesh filter has become clogged. Sealants, soap residue and limescale can all clog up snow foam lances and prevent them from foaming properly... Luckily, it's easy to replace these filters if you have one of our v2 lances. Just remove the metal U-shaped clip in the front grip nozzle section of the lance, and slide off the plastic casing. Pull out the brass bladed section (held in place with an O-ring) and there's the filter inside it at the other end... replace with a new one and reassemble. Simple! Size: 10x14mm Please note: In certain circumstances replacing the mesh filter will not cure poor foaming. Assuming a good pressure washer (120 bar+ recommended), good water pressure, good water flow and a good snow foam at the correct concentrations and lance settings, poor performance may be down to a blockage of the main feed hole in the brass body (where the dip tube connects) or in the back of the lance body (where the silver screw insert is). The brass body can sometimes be left to soak overnight in cleaning solution, but it may be difficult to flush debris out. Preventing the dip tube sucking up dirt is imperative. Never allow the snow foam bottle to become dirty inside (rinse thoroughly after use) and always use fresh snow foam solution.
