Hellebores in old Whisky Bottle - original oil painting

This is an original oil painting of hellebores from my back garden, in a pretty old whisky bottle that I had kept. I love the striking shapes of the flowers and the shadows they cast in the studio as the low February light came streaming in through the window. I recently discovered that hellebores can symbolise both peace and serenity and also anxiety and delirium. Perhaps my composition with extreme light and dark shadows suits the dual nature of their meaning? What do you make of them? The painting is signed in the bottom right. It comes in a classic chunky frame that will suit most interiors and is ready to hang. The painting size is 35.5cm x 35.5cm (14" x 14").
