Pelargonium Vase - Black - #4

Stoneware vase with an attached flower frog top, thrown on the wheel and altered by hand. Decorated with a paper resist and black slip and a white slip trailed detail. Fired once to 1000 degrees celsius, then signed, waxed, decorated with red underglaze and iron oxide detail and dipped into a homemade glossy honey glaze. Once dry the piece is ready for its final 1240 degree firing. This is a one of a kind piece. Dishwasher and microwave safe though discouraged for longevity. Simply submerge in water to fill and allow the vase to arrange your stems for you. 7 large holes in the top.
