De Verloren Whisky Vintage 1981 Pedro Ximenez Barrel

The De Verloren Whisky, which literally translates as ‘The Lost Whisky”, is a single cask single malt bottled by the Dutch independent bottler Dram Dranken / King Cask. In this case a malt which got a finish in an ex Pedro Ximenez sherry cask from 1981 of which 7 months aboard Tall Ship the Thalassa. It got bottled on the 28th of April 2026 at 43,2% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited edition single cask release of 292 bottles. Nose: raisins, molasses, dried fruit, nutmeg, cocoa and balsamic Palate: ripe banana and black cherry with notes of treacle, spices, tobacco, leather and a subtle sea breeze Finish: warm spices with dry tannins and dried prune
