LED Tower Light Explosion-Proof The SL-Q50 Lights are flame and ignition-proof tower lights for use in explosive gas areas. They are Ex db IIC T6 rated and are made with an aluminum housing to be rugged and long-lasting. The 50mm lens uses a special diffusion tube that condenses the light for long-distance visibility. They can be used in refineries, chemical Plants, solvent storage areas, and locations where flammable gases, vapors, dust, or fibers may be present and could ignite if exposed to a spark, arc, or high surface temperature. They are IP66 rated to withstand washdowns and dusty environments. These come equipped with an explosion-proof 90 dB buzzer that includes a flame arrester (deflagration arrestor) that absorbs the heat from a flame front traveling at subsonic velocities. This drops the burning gas./ air mixture below its auto-ignition temperature, stopping the flame from surviving. The heat is absorbed through channels that are built into the light. There is a wiring terminal located inside the housing that is used to connect the light to the controls. Explosion-proof cable glands can be ordered separately, or you can supply your own. The cable gland entry is 1/2 NPT. The explosion-proof tower lights come with 5 colors. The lights are, from top to bottom, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, and White. Based on how the lights are wired, they can flash or be steady. Wiring is PNP. Can be ordered as 24V DC or 110V - 230V AC.
