Hand-carved from rich green Kahurangi pounamu — a single piece of stone shaped, set and polished to a deep, glassy finish that brings out its colour and character. Paired with a Svord 870 Master Cutler blade and a brass guard: a versatile sporting blade for hunting, the bush or the bench. A collaboration between two masters, each with over 40 years' experience: Bryan Baker, who makes his Svord blades in Waiuku, south of Auckland, hardened and tempered in-house, and our carver Lee-Roy Mullings (Ngāti Kahungunu), who has shaped pounamu in his Arrowtown workshop for four decades.
