👨🏼🌾 Orange Wine made by Simon Gastrein. An orange wine with great personality, made from a blend of Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Cugnette, crafted with skin maceration like a red wine. Simon Gastrein here revives a winemaking technique inspired by Georgian kvevris, involving prolonged contact with the skins, which gives the wine its color, texture, and a slight tannic grip. The wine opens with notes of flowers, yellow fruits, bitter orange, and spices, with a full-bodied yet surprisingly fresh palate. The texture is dense, yet supported by fine tannins and true energy.
