The OGATA Chair collection brings Japanese aesthetic sensibility and the modernist tradition into quiet dialogue. The teak frame develops character with time; the fabric, woven in the texture of tatami, softens the structure. Two contrasting materials, one considered form. The Stool carries nothing unnecessary. Without back or armrests, it occupies little space and tucks cleanly beneath a table when not in use. At home beside the dining table, in a living room, an entryway, or a bathroom — it moves through the house without imposing.
