Description WYTHE may not like to make one-to-one reproductions of vintage garments, but WYTHE is a big fan of bringing old fabrics back to life. Meet Aertex - originally marketed as the world's first performance fabric, developed for the British Military back during WWII. The open weave airiness paired with the innate structure of the fabric makes this an easy choice for a warm-weather shirt - it's essentially a woven cotton mesh. WYTHE recreated this fabric with one of its partnering mills in Japan, where WYTHE often looks when trying to revive old military cloth. A half zip shirt felt like the only suitable option for this fabric. This is one of those shirts that, while you can zip it up all the way, you really never should. One thing is certain - WYTHE is going to be wearing this thing fully opened all summer long.
