IC #127 – Brother Andrew Musical – Neal’s Demo

So many of you will know that in May 2026, the Brother Andrew musical finally came to the stage thanks to a large team of people and the AD Players! If you’re an IC member you will know that I have written many musicals over the years, but none of them have actually made it to a final staged production, so this is a big one for me. You’ll also know that we are recording a full cast album, supported by many of you thanks to the Crowdfunding scheme, which is well under way in production. You will probably have heard some of the songs when I performed that at the Morsefest IC shows, and some demos from 2021 that I put out as an IC release a few years ago. As we went into production and started to shape the show, I made a full song demo of the songs in the order that they appeared, using some of the demos from across the years, and some songs which were written as we finalised the shape of the finished show. And that demo is this month’s IC release. I’ve presented it as two separate tracks because that’s how it was produced. You guys are used to long songs, right? Well this gives you the chance to hear the songs in order. I do a lot of the vocals but some other friends helped out with some of the female vocal tracks. I hope it gives you a sense of what the show was like if you didn’t get a chance to see it, and of course in due time you will be able to hear the final album!
