Ury House and trees

20 x 20 cm Ury House is a subject I’ve returned to many times over the years, partly because it has been part of my own landscape for so long. Living on the estate, I’ve watched the house sit through different seasons and changes, becoming familiar while still keeping its sense of distance. In this painting, I wanted to catch that presence - the house standing beyond the trees, quietly grand and full of its own history...
