Studio D'artisan was founded by Shigeharu Tagaki in Osaka Japan back in 1979 and it was the earliest of the five Osaka brands that later became known as the Osaka Five, five brands from Osaka that put Japanese denim on the map and created the foundation of Japanese denim production. The history of women's jeans began with the popularity of the style worn by cowboys working on "Dude Ranch," a ranch tourism business in the American West. Time passed, and around the 1950s, one woman embraced jeans, which had previously only been workwear, as a fashion statement. That woman was the great American actress, Marilyn Monroe. In an era when there was resistance to women wearing jeans, the impact of Marilyn Monroe wearing jeans on screen was tremendous. It is said that she also loved wearing jeans in her private life. Bombshell jeans are designed with the style of that time in mind, featuring a deep rise and a relaxed fit around the hips, allowing them to be worn high-waisted in the 1950s. The wide, straight silhouette with a gentle taper towards the hem gives a relaxed impression with sneakers and a more mature impression with heels. The jeans are pre-washed so they wont shrink when worn. You can expect them to expand slightly when you wear them. Ebba is 158 cm tall and wears size W 27. Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.
